ASIC permanently bans Anass ‘Caesar” Abdalla

ASIC has issued a permanent ban to Anass "Caesar" Abdalla, a financial adviser based in Queensland. The ban prohibits him from offering financial services, engaging in any financial services business activities, or managing entities involved in financial services.

ASIC's investigation revealed that Mr. Abdalla, in his role as general manager of a financial services licensee, instructed an authorized representative who was not working to sign documents. These documents misled clients by implying they had received personal advice from the representative, which was not the case.

ASIC concluded that Mr. Abdalla's actions indicate he lacks the fitness and propriety required to provide financial services or oversee those who do.

This ban has been officially recorded on ASIC’s register of banned and disqualified persons.

This information comes from the ASIC Media Release (24-155MR) published on the 17th of July 2024 and is true to our knowledge when published.

Mr. Abdalla has the option to appeal ASIC's decision by seeking a review from the Administrative Appeals Tribunal.
